Your initial communication with the expert is free and if you are not happy with the service you have two quick and painless ways to address the issue.
Once you are convinced that the expert can provide the service you requested you will be asked to hire the expert by providing LivePerson with your credit card information. This information is collected via a secure connection and is not available to the expert nor to any other party. Your credit card is NOT charged at the beginning of the session. It is only taken as a guarantee and as a means of validating your identity. After you receive the service from the expert you also receive an online invoice. If you found the service you received satisfactory you are expected to click the "Confirm payment" button that appears inside the invoice. Doing so will enable you to rate the expert and close the session, and it will allow us to charge your credit card and transfer your payment to the expert.
If, on the other hand, you are not satisfied with the service you received, you will be able to click the "Contest fee" button and ask the expert for clarification. The expert is then expected to issue another invoice. If you still find the service unsatisfactory or you find that the second invoice does not accurately reflect the service you received, you will be able to refuse payment.
*Please note: The above does NOT apply to LIVE sessions (where communication is via chat). When starting a live session initial communication is free (via chat), and you can evaluate the expert and get a first impression. Once you hire the expert by clicking the "Hire expert" button, you pay the expert per minute according to that particular expert's live session fee. You can quit anytime by clicking the "Quit session" button. Your credit card will be billed for the exact time you were in session.
